Anagnost Konstantin (XIII century, exact dates of birth and death are unknown) - Byzantine national-language poet.
There is practically no information about his life. It is known that he lived in Cyprus and most likely headed the local notary board.
His most famous work is a thank-you poem addressed to a certain high-ranking secretary (possibly imperial) named Konstantin. The poem consists of 92 so-called "political poems" and is written in an unusual poetic size, which the author himself calls in her text the "semi-pyramid." His other famous work is a poem from 46 “political poems”, addressed, perhaps, to his son or student. This work is considered at the same time one of the first monuments of medieval Cypriot literature and Byzantine folk poetry.
