Sharon Brown ( born Sharon Rene Brown ; born September 1, 1943 ) is an American model who won the Miss USA 1961 .

Biography
Born in a rural community in Louisiana , she moved to Webster County in 1961 with her parents, brothers, and sisters. During her high school years, Sharon Brown was a fan since 1958 to 1960. In 1961, she won the Miss Louisiana contest and represented her staff at the Miss USA contest.
Sharon Brown won by becoming Miss USA and simultaneously becoming Miss Photogenic. Brown also participated in the 1961 Miss Universe , where she became fifth. His hometown of Minden, proclaimed July 25, 1961, as Sharon Brown's Day, which was marked by a parade.
After participation
At the end of the year of her term as Miss USA, Sharon Brown began her career as a model and TV presenter [1] , appearing on Bob Hope’s program on NBC [2] .
In 1962, she was selected Queen of the 28th annual Sugar Bowl in New Orleans .
Since 1978, lives in Chicago , Illinois . [3]
