Arlene Howell ( born Eurlyne Howell ; born October 25, 1939 ) is an American model who won the 1958 Miss USA contest and participated in the 1958 Miss Universe .

Born October 25, 1939 in Delhi , Louisiana .
Howell was the first of three Miss Louisiana to win the Miss USA title. In the same week that she became Miss USA, she participated in the Miss Universe , where she won fourth place.
After Howell began her career as an actress. Her most famous roles include the role of Cindy Lou Brown on the Maverick television series and the role of secretary Melody Lee Mercer in the 1959 series Bourbon Street Beat, along with Andrew Duggan, Richard Long and Van Williams.
Howell's first husband was Paul Michael LaCava. Since 1983, she has been married for the second time to Gerald F. Marushak.
