Schneider, Geert

Gert Schnider (German: Gert Schnider) (born April 9, 1979) is a professional Austrian player in many games: FIDE chess master, 5th dan on go [1] , grandmaster on the game abalon [2] ; 5 dan NSR and 3 dan FESA on shogi [3] .

On June 1, 2014, he occupied the first position in the FESA list of Austria and the 11th position in the European FESA list [4] .

Lives in Graz . Certified Chess Trainer.

Achievements

  • 1999, 2000: Avalon World Champion.
  • 2000: World Champ in Intellectual Decathlon ( decamentathlon ).
  • 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006: Austrian Shogi Champion.
  • 2002: II place in WOSC ( Brussels )
  • 2002: Champion of the 2nd International Shogi Forum
  • 2005, 2007: II place in the Austrian Shogi Championship
  • 2011: Champion of the shogi handicap tournament in Graz [3] .
