Hugo de Lusignan ( fr. Hugues de Lusignan , d. 1169 ) is the eldest son and heir to Hugo VIII de Lusignan and Burgoni de Rankon.
He managed the clan estates (since 1163), while his father fought in the Holy Land . In 1168, together with the brothers Geoffrey , Guy and Emery, took part in the rebellion of the Aquitanian barons against King Henry II of England . During this uprising in April 1168, during an encounter with Geoffrey, King Patrick's adviser , Earl of Salisbury, was assassinated.
Hugo died before March 16, 1169, apparently, during the life of his father, since Hugo VIII was inherited by his grandson - Hugo IX.
The first marriage was married to Orengard N (presumably the heiress of Issouden ).
Children:
- Hugo IX de Lusignan (d. 1219), Senor de Lusignan from 1173, succeeded Hugo VIII
- Raul I de Lusignan (d. 1 May 1219), seigneur d'Isouden, Count d'Et since 1194
Presumably, the second marriage was married to Dulce N , the second marriage married to Guillaume Menho, the lord de Surger .
