Zebrene ( Latvian: Zebrene ) is a settlement in the southern part of Latvia , located in the Zebren parish of the Dobel region . Until July 1, 2009, it was part of the Dobele district .

It is the center of Zebren volost. The old name is Renge. Dobele is 34 km away. According to data for 2015, 271 people lived in the village [1] .
History
The modern settlement is located on the territory that once belonged to the Renge Manor (Rengenhof).
In Soviet times, the village was the center of the Bixt village council of the Dobel district . In the village was the state farm "Zebrene" [2] .
In Zebren there are: 2 shops, Zebren basic school, library, paramedic, post office [3] .
