Haaz, Erwin Peterovich

Erwin Haaz was born on August 31, 1969 in Moscow. He studied at Moscow school number 613 from 1976 to 1986 . In 1995 he graduated from the directing department of the Higher Theater School. B.V. Shchukin , Taganka Theater Workshop. Teachers: A. M. Vilkin and V. A. Eufer. While studying, he worked in the theater studio "Histrion". Since 1996 he has been working at the Taganka Theater.

In 1999-2001, he also worked as a director at the Nikitsky Gate Theater. He took part in the staging of the performances “Murder in the Temple. Rehearsal ”,“ Not Afraid of Virginia Woolf, ”“ Black Square ”.

Personal life

Married, father of three children. Wife Kazue (Katerina) Haaz - translator, citizen of Japan. The youngest son, Wilhelm Haaz, is a schoolboy, as an actor, has been participating in his father's productions since 2014.

In 2014, Erwin Haas organized and held the Festival-Laboratory of chamber theater groups and individual performers (without restriction of status and genre) “Only Shakespeare”, which was held in Moscow from June 1 to 7, 2014 at the venues of the Theater Museum named after A. Bakhrushin and the Theater of Young Muscovites on the Sparrow Hills with the support of the Shakespeare Commission under the Scientific Council “History of World Art Culture” of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the editors of the almanac “I Enter the World of Arts”. The festival was attended by such groups as the Nikitsky Gate Theater, the Nikindom Theater, hosted by Niki Kosenkova, and others. Lecturers and master classes were taught by many Shepherevologists, translators, and directors: professors A. V. Bartoshevich, A M. Vilkin, P. G. Popov, N. V. Zakharov and many others.
