Biography

The representative of the Polish magnate family Mnishek coat of arms " Mniszek ". the eldest son of the governor of Volyn and elder of sanotsky Jerzy Jan Mniszek (died 1693) and Anna Chodkiewicz (died after 1690 ), daughter of Castellan of Vilna, Jan Casimir Chodkiewicz .

In 1691, Józef Mniszek received the eldership of Sanok in charge . Through the wedding with a representative of the Oginsky clan, he participated in the civil war of the nobility of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania against Sapieha, and in 1700 participated in the battle of Olkeniki . In 1712, he re-married Constantia Tarlo (d. 1740 ), the daughter of Governor of Lublin Stanislav Tarlo (d. 1705 ) and Theresa Dunin-Brokovskaya. Children:

  • Jerzy August Mniszek ( 1715 - 1778 ), marshalk court corona and Krakow kastelyan
  • Jan Karol Mniszek ( 1716 - 1759 ), the great Lithuanian subcomomorium and the lieutenant-general of the Polish army
  • Elzbieta Mniszek (died 1746 ), wife since 1725, the grand duke of the Great Crown and the head of Krakow , Count Karol Velepolski (died 1773 )
