Osorino is one of four villages built on a hill along the interfluve, flowing to the north of the South River, and its left tributaries. In the village of Markhachevo , located on the Rybinsk - Glebovo road, at a distance of 1.5 km west of the intersection with the Yuga River, a country road begins to the north, following at a distance of 1.5-2 km west of the Yuga River, and connecting the villages of Okatovo , Kovykino (5 km) , Zadnevo and Osorino. North of Osorino, this road goes to the shore of the Gulf of the Rybinsk Reservoir , not far from the mouth of the South River. Along the road and villages there are fields with a width of 500 m to 2 km, which are surrounded by forests partially boggy [2] .
The village of Osoryina is indicated on the plan of the General Land Survey of the Rybinsk district in 1792.
