Spinolidia (lat.) Is a genus of jumping insects from the family of cicadas ( Cicadellidae ). South America Length is 6-8 mm (females are larger). The scutellum is large; its length is greater than the length of the pronotum . The head is small (widely rounded in front), distinctly pronotal already; wide forehead. Eyes and ocelli are relatively large; eyes are hemispherical. Clypeus is long and wide. Edeagus is long. Similar in habitus to Evansolidia , differing in the details of the structure of the genitals. The genus is included in the subfamily Coelidiinae . Spinolidia is named after the Italian naturalist and entomologist Maximilian Spinola (M. Spinola) [1] .
