Kramerolidia (lat.) Is a genus of jumping insects from the family of cicadas ( Cicadellidae ). Central America : Caribbean Islands. Length 4-7 mm (females larger). The scutellum is large; its length is slightly greater than the length of the pronotum . The head is large, slightly narrower than pronotum; the forehead is very narrow. The eyes are very large, hemispherical. Clypeus is short and wide. Edeagus is long and narrow. Similar in habitus to Omanolidia , differing in the details of the structure of the genitals. The genus is included in the subfamily Coelidiinae . Kramerolidia is named after the American entomologist James Kramer (Dr James P. Kramer , US National Muséum), for his significant contribution to the study of the taxonomy of New World cicadas [1] .
