Biography
Born in Königsberg , Principality of Brandenburg-Prussia , in the family of Ober Marshal of the Royal Court.
In 1681 he entered the Brandenburg military service as a cadet.
Since 1683 he served in the regiment of dragoons of Derflinger , later he moved to serve the French king Louis XIV . He fought in Catalonia, however, after the opening of the campaign on the River Rhine, he returned to service in Brandenburg.
In 1689 he became captain in the regiment of the crown prince; was wounded during the siege of Bonn (in 1689), fought at Lese (in 1691).
He participated in the war for the Spanish Succession , fought at Hochstedt (in 1704), in 1705 - commandant of the Plassenburg fortress, fought at Udenard (in 1708) and Malplack (in 1709).
After the war he returned to his homeland with the rank of colonel. He was a friend of the King of Prussia, Elector of Brandenburg Friedrich Wilhelm I.
From 1714 he became major general, in 1717 - commander of an infantry regiment.
Since 1728 he became commander of the troops, as well as the fortresses of the Duchy of Prussia.
In 1734, in the war for the Polish inheritance, he headed the auxiliary Prussian corps on the River Rhine.
Since 1736 he became the first state and military minister.
He received the rank of Field Marshal on August 5, 1739.
Juditten died at his estate.
