Schizoturanius Dmitrieva ( Latin: Schizoturanius dmitriewi ) is a species of two-legged millipedes ( Polydesmidae , Polydesmida ). Russia Endemic of the Russian Plain. It occurs in the Voronezh , Lipetsk , Kursk , Moscow and Oryol regions , as well as in the Kharkov and Cherkasy regions of Ukraine [1] . Length about 1 cm (colorless to pink). It is mainly confined to the forest-steppe. In the Moscow region it is found in deciduous forests and meadow steppes at limestone outcrops, in humid habitats on carbonate substrates. Soil larvae, adult stages - in the litter. They feed on fallen leaves and herbs. Live at least two years. A rare species included in the Red Book of the Moscow Region [2] [3] .
