Colombia Football Cup 2009 , officially Postobón Cup 2009 by the name of the main sponsor - the 8th draw of the Colombia Cup , competitions for professional clubs DIMAYOR . It began on March 4 and ended on November 18, 2009 . The winner received the right to represent Colombia in the 2010 South American Cup .

Format
The tournament was attended by 36 teams. In the first phase of the competition, they were divided into 6 groups of 6 clubs on a geographical basis. The teams played each with two matches each (at home and away), the next phase went to the teams that took 1st and 2nd places in their groups. The second phase began with the 1/8 finals and then there were elimination games with two-match series, 3 winners and one best of the losing quarter-finals went to the 1/2 finals.
