Diocese of Pasto ( lat. Dioecesis Pastopolitana ) - Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with the center in the city of Pasto , Colombia . The Diocese of Pasto is included in the Metropolitanate of Popayan . The cathedral of the diocese of Pasto is the church of St. Esekel Moreno.

Content
History
On April 10, 1859, Pope Pius IX issued the bull “In excelsa” , which established the Diocese of Pasto, separating it from the Archdiocese of Popayan (today - the Archdiocese of Popayan). On June 20, 1900, the diocese pasto entered the Metropolitan Popayan.
On November 20, 1904, May 1, 1927, and September 23, 1964, the Diocese of Pasto transferred part of its territory to the new Apostolic Prefecture of Kakete (today the Diocese of Mokoa-Sibundoy ), the Apostolic Prefecture of Tumako (today - the Diocese of Tumaco ) and the Diocese of Ipiales .
