Diocese of Mokoa-Sibundoya ( Latin: Dioecesis Mocoënsis-Sibundoyensis ) - Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in the city of Sibunda , Colombia . The diocese of Mokoa-Sibundoy is a member of the Metropolitan Popayan . The cathedral of the diocese of Mokoa Sibundoy is the church of St. Alphonse Liguori. In the city of Mokoa is the co-cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel.

History
On December 20, 1904, the Holy See established the apostolic prefecture of Kaketa, separating it from the diocese of Pasto . On May 31, 1930, Pope Pius XI issued the Decessores Nostros log , which transformed the Apostolic Prefecture of Cachete into the Apostolic Vicariate . On February 8, 1951, Pope Pius XII issued the bull “Quo efficacius” , which he renamed the Apostolic Vicariate of Cakete into the Apostolic Vicariate of Sibundoy.
On October 29, 1999, Pope John Paul II issued the bull “Catholica fides,” which he renamed the Apostolic Vicariate of Sibundoy to the Diocese of Mokoa-Sibundoy.
