Scale The Summit is an American band from the USA, Texas , playing instrumental progressive metal music. The group was formed in 2004 and releases their albums on the metal label Prosthetic Records. It is believed that the main influence on the work of the team had such groups as Cynic and Dream Theater . However, unlike most other prog metal bands, Scale The Summit does not use vocals and performs instrumental music. The group attracted significant attention after the personal invitation of Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) to participate in the Progressive Nation 2009 tour together with the Dream Theater, Zappa Plays Zappa and Bigelf.
