Kazakh University (publishing house)

The Kazakh University publishing house has been leading its history since the 30s of the XX century as a publishing house of the Kazakh State University. The publishing house specializes in educational and scientific literature in all fields of knowledge. It is one of the largest university publishing houses in Kazakhstan.

On October 25, 1993, by decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the publishing house was renamed the state publishing house “Sanat” ^[1] . Until 1996, the editorial department and printing house were separate units. On August 2, 1996, the publishing house received its modern name - “Kazakh University”.

The publishing house issued a large number of books, magazines and brochures - annually about 1000 titles - textbooks, manuals, monographs and methodological developments, various magazines for the university. Since 1993, 17 episodes of the Vestnik KazNU have been printed with publications of scientific papers by leading Kazakh and foreign scientists. In addition, the publishing house publishes advertising booklets, newsletters in Kazakh , Russian , English , German , French and Chinese ^[2] . Since 2009, the director of the publishing house has been Asan Almaz Talgatbekuly.

• 2002 - the winner of the competition among higher educational institutions "The Best Publishing House", held by the Association of Higher Education of Kazakhstan ^[2] .
• 2009 - the works of the Kazakh University Publishing House were awarded with the award "For the best publication of educational and scientific and methodological literature" at the 10th Kazakhstan International Exhibition "Education and Career", organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan ^[2] and "For the Best University Edition. "

• 2012 - Kazakh University Publishing House was selected as the best university publishing house at the 13th Kazakhstan International Exhibition Education and Career.
• 2013 - the publishing house “Kazakh University” was recognized as the best university publishing house at the VII International Book and Printing Exhibition “On the Great Silk Road” ^{[3] [4]} .
• 2013 - the publishing house was awarded the diploma of the Altyn Zhuldyz Academy of Journalism of Kazakhstan in the nomination "The Best University Publishing House".
• 2014 - “Kazakh University” publishing house was recognized as the best publishing organization at the international book fair “AlmatyBookExpo” - “From intellectual reading to an intellectual nation” ^[5] .
• 2014 - Kazakh University Publishing House was awarded a diploma for I place in the number of titles published in the ranking of "Best Publishers-2013" ^[6] .
• 2015 - Kazakh University Publishing House was awarded a diploma for the book Al-Farabi and the Present in the nomination "The best scientific publication" at the VIІI international book and printing exhibition "On the Great Silk Road".

Scientific journals

The publishing house issues not only books, but also scientific journals. Journals are included in the list of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission. This is, first of all, 16 episodes of the “Bulletin of KazNU” with different frequency.

With the assistance of the Hilsfond International Fund in Brussels, two scientific journals in English, the International Journal of Mathematics and Physics and the International Journal of Biology and Chemistry, have been published since 2009.

In addition, the publishing house publishes two scientific journals of the Institute for Combustion Problems: “Combustion and Plasma Chemistry” and “Eurasian Chemico-Technological”.
