Biography
He was born in 1912 in the village of Ordov (now Radekhovsky district, Lviv region ).
In 1928 he became a member of the UVO , and since 1929 the OUN . In September 1933, he was arrested by the Polish police and sentenced by the district court in Zolochev in the spring of 1934 to 4 years in prison. He was released on January 3, 1936. During 1936-1939, the military assistant of the district wire of the OUN of the Radekhov region, a member of the Wolves combat group.
On March 20, 1939, he was seriously wounded in a shootout with the Polish police near his native village of Ordov ; [ style ] . Convicted in August 1939 to life imprisonment, he was released with the outbreak of war in September 1939.
