History
The team was created in 1924 at the club Profintern. The club owned a stadium in the Samara Lane. In 1926–1931, the team was called SSTS (Union of Soviet Trade Employees), and in 1931–1935 it was called the SKiG (Union of Cooperation and State Trade). In 1955, sportsmen joined the Petrel, representing the teams of the liquidated sports communities "Trud", "Medic" and "Science".
The strengthened team became the winner of the USSR championship three times. But in 1958 it was decided to exclude the team from the championship , and the following year the team was eliminated completely.
