V. Balyk graduated from Ternopil Music School (1973, class R. Melenchuk), Ternopil State Medical University. S. Krushelnitskaya (1977, class A. P. Gorbacheva), LGK them. N. Lysenko (1982, class M.D. Oberyukhtin, conducting - I. Vymer), internship at the RAM to them. Gnesinykh in Moscow (1986, scientific consultant V.F. Belyakov).
For the first time a solo concert in two parts was made in 1977 in the city of Ternopil. Participant of the First All-Union competition of accordionists and accordionists (1979, Novosibirsk, prize "Hope"). Winner of the international competition "Vogtländischen Musiktage" in Germany (Klingenthal-Markneukirchen, 1981, third prize). Bayanist-soloist of the Northern Caucasian Military Song and Dance Ensemble (1983), instrumentalist (1985 - 1987, 1st bayan) of the Boyan Folk Orchestra (Rosconcert, conductor A. Poletayev).
Lecturer (since 1987), assistant professor (1991), professor (1994), head of the department of folk instruments (1994-1996) of the Astrakhan State Conservatory [1] .
At the same time - the soloist of the ensemble of folk instruments "Ivushka" (until 1992) and the instrumental soloist of the Astrakhan Regional Philharmonic (since 1987).
In 1992, V. Balyk writes S. Gubaidulina’s Seven Words of Christ on the Cross to a gramophone record for bayan, cello and string orchestra (MTPP Russky Disk, AOF Chamber Orchestra, conductor M. Shcherbakov).
In 1993, V. Balyk created the ensemble of soloists NATA BENE TRIO with: Vladimir Balyk - button accordion, Natalia Balyk - small domra, Natalia Vorobinov - alto domra. In 1994-1995, the trio became the winner of international competitions in France (Grand Prix, Andrézieux-Bouthéon), Italy (Castelfidardo) and Germany (Klingenthal); he tours in France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, etc.) and records in 1995 in the Moscow House of Recording his first audio album, published only in 1999 by the publishing house Karthause-Schmülling (CD is proclaimed CD of the year in 2000 newspaper "Intermusik"). From 1996 to 1998 V. Balyk plays a duet with percussionist A. Ralo, with whom he won awards at A. Piazzolla competitions in Italy and chamber music in Germany.
Since 1998, he and his family have been living in Croatia , working as a professor at the Ino Mirković Academy of Music in Lovran , at the same time in 1998-2000. V. Balyk - Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of this private music institution. After 1999, he actively performs in the renewed lineup NATA BENE TRIO with guitarist N. Munitich (touring in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Germany, France, Slovakia and Holland, and since 2004 mainly in duet (duo Balyk) with his wife Natalia Balik (domra, mandolin).
Since 2004, Vladimir Balyk - professor and mentor of the button accordion and accordion in the State Glazbena škola Ivan Matetić Ronjgov [2] in Pula .
Since 2018, Vladimir Balyk is a professor advisor at Glazbena škola Ivana Matetića Ronjgova, Rijeka [3] .
