ATV-4 was launched on June 5, 2013 at 21:52:11 UTC (June 6, 01:52:11 MSK) with the help of the launch vehicle of the heavy class “Arian-5ES” from the Guiana Space Center on Kourou . The docking with the Russian service module " Star " was carried out on June 15, 2013. [1]

The docking took place on June 15, 2013 at 14:07 UTC (18:07 Moscow time), 20 minutes after the scheduled time, as it took additional time to check the laser reflectors [2] . On board, he delivered more than 6.5 tons of cargo, including: water, oxygen, food, experimental equipment [2] .

Due to disagreements between NASA and Roskomos specialists, which arose because of the possibility of mold and bacteria contamination of the truck, the opening of the hatches was postponed [3] . As a result, it was decided to take air samples after cleaning to take about 5 hours [4] .

October 28, 2013 at 08.54 UTC (12.54 MSK) ATV-4 "Albert Einstein" was undocked from the service module " Star " [5] .

November 2, 2013 ATV-4 "Albert Einstein" made a controlled descent into the atmosphere, followed by destruction. [6]
