History
The village was first mentioned in 1556 in the Hundredths of Kargopol County . Near the village until the 80s of the 20th century there was a village of Podol, which before the revolution was called Vesinsky. According to local historians and local residents, the old name of the village is associated with the entire Fino-Ugric tribe who once lived in these places. In 1562, in the “Hundredth Kargopol Books of the Letter of Nikita Grigoryevich Yakhontov with Comrades”, reference was made to the “Nikolsky Pogost and the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.” In 1651, in connection with the dilapidation, the St. Nicholas Church was dismantled, and in its place the Trinity Church was built, burned down by a lightning strike on June 3, 1789.
