Biography
Born in 1910 in Gorlovka . In 1928 he played for the Gorlovsky Metalist and, together with the team, became the silver medalist of the Ukrainian SSR championship , losing only to Dynamo Kharkov [1] . Bushnoy, according to known data, spent 1 match in the tournament [2] .
In the 1938 season, he played for Tbilisi Lokomotiv in Group A of the USSR Championship . According to the results of the tournament, Lokomotiv took 24th place out of 26 teams. Evgeny Bushnoy played in 7 matches, in which he conceded 16 goals. The next season, 1939 moved to Stakhanovets from Stalin , who also played in Group A of the USSR Championship. This season, Bushnoy spent 7 games and conceded 13 goals, and his team finished 12 out of 14. In the Cup, he spent 2 matches and conceded 3 goals.
Member of World War II [3] . August 29, 1941 he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army [4] . He served in the 704 rifle regiment of the 398 rifle division as an assistant platoon commander [4] . He went to intelligence in the village of Mayaki in civilian clothes, where he obtained valuable information [4] . November 7, 1941 participated in the attack on the enemy’s reinforced outpost and threw grenades at it [4] . In a battle on the farm, Fedorovsky attacked two firing points and killed two opponents, one of them an officer [4] . Destroyed about 14 people from the armed forces of Nazi Germany [4] . His rank is Senior Sergeant [4] . He was awarded the Order of the Red Star and the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree [4] .
After the war he returned to the Stakhanovets team. In the first post-war season of 1945, he spent 1 match in which he conceded 2 goals in the Second Group of the USSR Championship and took 5th place out of 18 teams.
He died in his native Gorlovka, the date of his death is not known. On April 29, 2013, in the Donetsk Central Park of Culture and Rest named after A. S. Shcherbakov , the opening of the Birch Alley of Memory dedicated to 32 “Stakhanovets” players participating in the Great Patriotic War took place. The name of Eugene Bushny is immortalized on this monument [3] .
