History
According to the Lists of populated areas of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village of Povertkino belonged to the 2nd camp of the Vetluzh district of the Kostroma province . There were 8 yards in it , 40 men and 44 women lived. [2]
According to the 1897 census , 108 people lived in the village (50 men and 58 women). [3]
According to the List of populated areas of the Kostroma province in 1907, the village of Poverkino belonged to the Gagarin volost of the Vetluzh district of the Kostroma province. According to the volost government, in 1907 there were 22 peasant households and 137 inhabitants in the village. In the village there was a school, a windmill. The main occupations of the villagers were carriage and forestry. [3]
