Beginning of the story
Initially, the publication, founded and edited by V. N. Seleznev, was unprofitable. Since the end of 1880, the newspaper became the property of N.P. Lanin, the owner of the effervescent wine factory, which in 1881 was approved by its official editor [1] . The actual editor was V. A. Goltsev , “for the unreliability and implementation of the harmful ideas of youth”, deprived of the right to teach at Moscow University. Lanin invited F. D. Nefedov and S. A. Priklonsky, who returned from exile, to the editorial office. Also, N. M. Astyrev , P. I. Kicheev , M. I. Mishla-Orfanov, V. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko worked in it. This editorial team worked for two years, until Lanin decided to edit the newspaper himself [2] .
General information

Edited by Skripitsyn , A. A. Popov and others. [1]
