Flooding area

Flooding and destruction mainly affected the east and north of Germany ( Thuringia , Saxony , Saxony-Anhalt , Lower Saxony , Bavaria , Brandenburg , Schleswig-Holstein , Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Baden-Württemberg ), Czech Republic ( Bohemia ), and Austria ( Vienna ) Lower Austria , Upper Austria ), Poland ( Masovian , Lower Silesian , Lesser Poland , Opole , ентwiętokrzyskie , Silesia , Subcarpathian Voivodeship and Krakow ), Hungary. Switzerland [3] , Slovakia , Belarus [4] were less flooded [5] . The flood spread downstream of the Elbe , Danube and in the basin of their tributaries, which led to high water and flooding of the banks of these rivers. Due to heavy rains, the streets of several cities in Navarra ( Spain ) turned into stormy streams. Croatia introduced emergency mode. In emergency mode, Serbia and Romania were prepared for floods. Also southeast of Belgium, the north of Bulgaria and Ukraine (Odessa region, Crimea, the west of the country) are subject to flooding.

The deaths of at least 24 people have been reported.
