History

The original name - Staheevsky (1870-1880) received the name of the local homeowner - Nikolai Dmitrievich Staheev (mother’s nephew of the artist I. I. Shishkin ).

Since 1878, the lane was called Tetskovsky Lane by the name of Dmitry Ivanovich Tetskov (1810-1882) - a hereditary Tomich, from 1864 the merchant of the first guild, the mayor of Tomsk from 1864 to 1874, also a local homeowner. Tetskov devoted much effort and time to arranging and organizing the work of the Siberian Compound inn that was located on the corner with Millionnaya Street (now Lenin Avenue ). The French traveler Edmond Cotteau, passing through Tomsk and staying at the Siberian Compound, was impressed by the manners of his host - he was tall, corpulent, full and bearded, who greeted him every time he met Cotteau and firmly shook his hand, wishing to show his satisfaction , since he did not speak foreign languages [1] .

On the corner from Magistratskaya (now Rosa Luxemburg ) street on August 21, 1877, the first real school was opened in Tomsk (and in Western Siberia).

Began to be called cooperative since 1927.

After the construction of the Tomsk Central Department Store, the lane lost its former extension to Rosa Luxemburg Street.
