Belgorodskaya Pravda is one of the oldest newspapers in Russia. It has been released since June 24, 1917. Since February 1954 - a regional newspaper.

History
Published June 11 (24), 1917. The first and second issues of the “publication of the Council of Workers and Soldiers' Deputies of the city of Belgorod” were called “The Will of the People”.
In 1917-1924, the newspaper appeared under various names, for the first time under the name Belgorodskaya Pravda, the newspaper was published on March 12, 1921.
July 31, 1967 the newspaper was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor [1] for fruitful work on the communist education of the working people of the region, mobilizing them for the tasks of economic and cultural construction and in connection with the 50th anniversary of the first issue.
The 60th anniversary of the newspaper was marked by the Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR.
Description
In the newspaper:
- The most important events in Russia and the Belgorod region are covered, photo reports, analytical articles are published;
- It tells about the life of the country and about events in the world;
- published materials on the development of mining and metallurgical and agricultural complexes, the construction of residential buildings and others.
The newspaper positions itself as a publication that comes out exclusively from the funds earned by the team.
Belgorodskaya Pravda was classified by the State Duma of the Russian Federation as an independent media for its centrist position. At the same time, the newspaper was criticized by the local branch of the Communist Party for posting a number of materials, starting with the July 19, 2011 issue, concerning the Soviet period’s history [2] .

The editors of Belgorodskaya Pravda in different years were: Nikanor Nikanorovich Vashkevich, Alexander Serafimovich Potapov, Vyacheslav Borisovich Chesnokov, Nikolai Vasilievich Mukhin, Vladislav Nikitich Boyarkin, Leonid Efimovich Blagasov.

Well-known journalists worked and work in the newspaper: Nikolai Igrunov , Inna Kosheleva, Anatoly Lukyanov, Anatoly Litvinov, Vitaliy Sobrovin, Lev Ukhov, Boris Osykov, Vyacheslav Solovyov, Yuri Korenko, Vladimir Lyubitsky, Alexey Manaev, Mikhail Ropanov, Boris Kiselev, Galina Khodyreva Grigory Men, Grigory Krupa, Vladimir Podolsky.
Six newspaper journalists were awarded the title of Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation.
