Tradeshift is a Danish company. It is a commercial web network, as well as a free billing platform, founded by Christian Lang, Mikel Hipi Brun and Geert Sylvest. The network was launched in May 2010 and by February 2011 was used in more than 150 countries. The project attracted the attention of many online media, including the Wired and Financial Times. Tradeshift's competitors are Ariba, OB10, Coupa and Maventa.com. In March 2012, the company released an invoice processing product called CloudScan, which aims to ensure that customers do not have to do invoice processing work.

History
All of the founders came from Denmark's public sector, where they created the first global P2P infrastructure for e-business. This project was nominated for the European e-Government Prize in 2009. In addition, the founders played an important role (Member of the Governing Council, Technical Director) in the PEPPOL European Commission project, which aimed to facilitate cross-border e-commerce within the European Union.

Financing
