Annenieku parish ( Latvian. Annenieku pagasts ) is one of the eleven territorial units of the Dobele region . Located on the border of the Lielauc Hills and the Sparnensky Wave Plain of the East Kurzeme Upland .

It borders on the Dobele , Aur , Naudit , Zebren and Bikst volosts of its region, Ilsky volost of the Auz region , Jaunpils parish of the Yaunpils region , as well as the Dzhukst volost of the Tukum region .

Rivers flow through the territory of the volost: Balzhnia, Berze, Bikstupa, Grauzdup.
Highest point: Pastaru Kalns (121 m).
National structure: 57.8% - Latvians, 25.6% - Russians, 4.7% - Lithuanians, 4.5% - Belarusians, 2.7% - Poles, 2.6% - Ukrainians.
The volost is crossed by the roads Riga - Liepaja, Jelgava - Annieki, Annenieki - Slagune and the railway line Jelgava - Liepaja (railway station Berzupe ).
History
In written sources, the volost, as an independent administrative-territorial unit, was first mentioned in 1836. The current name is from 1920.
In 1935, the territory of Anneniek parish was 72.3 km², 1365 people lived in it.
In 1945, Annenienki and Slagunsky rural councils were formed in the Annenienk parish of the Tukkum county . In 1949, the volost division was abolished and the Anneniensky village council was part of the Dobele district.
In 1958, the Varpa collective farm of the Nauditsky village council was attached to the Anneniensky village council. In 1963 - the territory of the farm "Kakeniyeki" Bixt village council [2] .
In 1990, the Anneniensky village council was reorganized into a volost. In 2009, at the end of the Latvian administrative-territorial reform, the Anneniens parish became part of the Dobele region.
Nowadays, there are 4 economically active enterprises, 439 private farms, the Anneniek Basic School, the Berzup Special Boarding School, and the Riekstins children's pre-school educational institution in the volost. library, cultural center, sports center "Kakeniyeki", an outpatient clinic, 2 post offices [3] .
