Changes from previous season

  • Club Leon won the promotion final and was promoted to the MX League .
  • The Estudiantes Tecos Club was relegated from the MX League.
  • The Leones Negros Club avoided a drop in the Segundo , since the Indios Club was disbanded due to financial problems.
  • The Titanes de Tulancingo Club, the winner of the Segunda, was unable to fulfill the minimum requirements of the Assenso MX League and was not upgraded. The Tekamachalko club, which ranked second in the Segund, was also unable to fulfill the requirements. As a result, not a single club from Segunda was promoted and 15 teams took part in the season instead of 16.
