General Information
The men's professional tournament in the Prosteyov tennis complex was created on the eve of the 1994 season, as part of the late autumn hall series as part of the ATP Challenger tour . A year later, the competition was transferred to the ground: the championship, with the prize fund doubled in size, was moved to September.
In 1997, the prize received a marginal prize fund by the standards of the tour, and the competition was transferred to the second week of Roland Garros . Many players from the first fifty single rankings agreed to take part in the Prostoev prize: for example, the first eleventh racket of the world, Mikhail Youzhny, was the first racket of the 2011 single tournament.
In the mid-1990s, the women's soil tournament was also tried here: in 1997-98 and 2000, the prize included in the calendar of the ITF series was held in April, and in 2004-06, competitions among both sexes were held simultaneously: the women at that moment were playing out seventy-five thousand dollars of the prize pool.
