Player Career
He played as a point guard . He studied at the University of La Salle , in 1953 he was selected by the NBA draft under the 102nd number of the Philadelphia Warriors team. He later played for the New York Knicks team. In total, the NBA spent 8 seasons. In the 1955/1956 season, George became the NBA champion of the Warriors. Twice took part in the match of all the NBA stars (1956-1957). Once included in the 2nd national team of all the NBA stars ( 1956 ). Once was the leader of the NBA regular season in terms of the amount of time spent on the court (1956). In total, during his career in the NBA he played 506 games, in which he scored 5153 points (an average of 10.2 per game), made 2129 rebounds and 2169 assists .
