History

The company was founded in 1838 by the Moscow merchants Lepeshkin on the banks of the Uvodi River on the outskirts of the village of Ivanovo .

The chemical institution “Trading House Lepeshkin and Sons” was a kind of companion to local textile enterprises, fulfilling orders from manufacturers. The first production of the Lepeshkin workshops, as the enterprise was then called, was designed to meet the needs of textile factories in the Kostroma , Vladimir , Yaroslavl and Moscow provinces. In 1850, 84 people worked at the plant. Already in 1873, the products were presented at the World Exhibition in Vienna . And in 1882, the plant received the highest award - the right to use the State Emblem on the trademark of its products.

During the First World War, the plant, in addition to the main products, produced chemical warfare agents for the needs of the front.

On June 15, 1921, the chemical plant was named after the Chapaevsky commissioner - Pavel Stepanovich Baturin .

In 1922, the plant became part of the first Ivanovo-Ascension Provincial Trust as an auxiliary enterprise.

During the years of Soviet power in 1929, the Ivanovo Industrial Region was created in the region, which to this day is called, and deservedly, the "textile land".

In the middle of the 20th century, the main profile of the plant was determined: the Ivanovo Chemical Plant began to mainly produce textile auxiliary substances (TVB) for light industry enterprises, including TVB and preparations for the production of chemical fibers , chemical materials for the leather and fur industry. Later, the plant turned into a specialized enterprise for the production of surface-active substances (surfactants) for various technical purposes and began to produce the following types of products: cutting fluids for mechanical engineering and metallurgy, preparations for the oil, gas, mining industry, paints and varnishes, household chemicals and etc.

In January 1977, by order of the Minister of Chemical Industry of the USSR on the basis of the plant named after P. S. Baturin established the Ivanovo production association "Khimprom". It included the Gorkinsky plant ( Rodnikovsky district ). In 1992, the company was transformed into an Open Joint-Stock Company - Ivkhimprom OJSC.

In the 90s of the XX century, together with the All-Russian Research Institute of Fire Defense (VNIIPO) , the production of blowing agents for extinguishing fires was mastered. Today Ivkhimprom OJSC produces all types of blowing agents and fire extinguishing agents (hydrocarbon, fluorosynthetic and fluoroprotein). At the beginning of the XXI century, the company introduced the production of multifunctional additives to motor oils and gasoline. An ISO 9001: 2008 quality management system has been introduced and is successfully operating at the plant.

Currently, the products of Ivkhimprom OJSC are in demand in Russia and abroad. .
