Nesterovo (Upper Volga rural settlement)

Nesterovo - a village in the Kalininsky district of the Tver region . Refers to the Upper Volga rural settlement . Until 2006, it was the center of the Nesterovsky rural district.

It is located 50 km south-west of Tver , on the Dolgush river, not far from the place of its confluence with the Shoshu River.

The population of the 2002 census was 291 people, 135 men, 156 women.

History

In the middle of the 19th century, the village of Nesterovo (Nesterovskoye) was the center of the Nesterovskiy parish of the Tatarkovo volost of Staritsky district of the Tver province . In 1859, there were 93 yards in the village, 692 inhabitants, in 1886-126 yards, 836 inhabitants, a parochial school , a volost government, 5 forges, 2 dye-houses, a tavern, a pub, 1 winery, 2 tea and 4 small shops, trade rows, 3 fairs per year [1] . In 1921 - May 1922, Nesterovo was the center of the Tatarkov volost of Staritsky district, in 1925 - the village council of the same name of the Yemelyanovsky volost of Tver district . Since 1929, the Nesterovskiy Village Council in the Yemelyanovsky District of the Moscow Region, since 1935, as part of the Kalinin Region .

In 1940, Nesterov - the center of the village council of the Yemelyanovsky district of the Kalinin region .

During the Great Patriotic War, it was occupied by Hitler's troops in October 1941 , liberated by the troops of the Kalinin Front on December 24 of the same year.

Since 1956, Nesterov in the Kalininsky district.

In 1997, in the village of Nesterovo, 113 households, 322 inhabitants; the administration of the rural district, the central estate of the Iskra collective farm, a dairy, 2 dairy farms, a special design bureau, an elementary school, a kindergarten, a library, a first-aid post, a communications center, a canteen, a shop.
