Nesterovo (Upper Volga rural settlement)

In the middle of the 19th century, the village of Nesterovo (Nesterovskoye) was the center of the Nesterovskiy parish of the Tatarkovo volost of Staritsky district of the Tver province . In 1859, there were 93 yards in the village, 692 inhabitants, in 1886-126 yards, 836 inhabitants, a parochial school , a volost government, 5 forges, 2 dye-houses, a tavern, a pub, 1 winery, 2 tea and 4 small shops, trade rows, 3 fairs per year ^[1] . In 1921 - May 1922, Nesterovo was the center of the Tatarkov volost of Staritsky district, in 1925 - the village council of the same name of the Yemelyanovsky volost of Tver district . Since 1929, the Nesterovskiy Village Council in the Yemelyanovsky District of the Moscow Region, since 1935, as part of the Kalinin Region .

In 1940, Nesterov - the center of the village council of the Yemelyanovsky district of the Kalinin region .

During the Great Patriotic War, it was occupied by Hitler's troops in October 1941 , liberated by the troops of the Kalinin Front on December 24 of the same year.
