This list compares countries by number of police officers per 100,000 citizens. According to the UN analysis, in 2006 there were an average of 300 police officers per 100,000 inhabitants worldwide, 1 according to other UN sources, the average number of police officers per 100,000 inhabitants is 341.8 people (data from 2000–2006) [2] .
