History

Before entering the FM band from April 30, 1990 to January 1, 1993, the Russian-French radio station Nostalgie-Moscow was broadcast on medium waves, 963 kHz (311 m). The hosts of Nostalgie Radio were proud that their medium wave signal in 1990 aired several hours earlier than the Europe Plus Moscow station in the FM (VHF) band.

The air of Radio Russia Nostalgie was truly unique, because many of the songs of decades gone by that sounded on Nostalgie are not in the library of any other Moscow radio station. A large place in the musical series "Nostalgia" belonged to French music of the second half of the twentieth century. Songs performed by Edith Piaf , Mireille Mathieu , Dalida , Sylvie Vartan , France Gall , Francoise Ardi , Veronique Sanson , Marie Laforet , Brigitte Bardot , Dian Tel , Nicole Croisie , Pierre Baru , Charles Aznavour , Claude Franco , Serge Gainsbourg , Michel Jonas , Rock Voisin , Frederic Francois , Dani Briand , Francois Feldman , Jacques Dutron , Serge Lam , Bernard Lavillier , Philippe Lafontaine , Daniel Balavoine , Philippe Laville , Michel Delavéribe , Marie Delavieu , Marie Delavieu , Marie Delavieu , Marie Delavieu , Marie Delavieu , Marie Delavieu , Marie Delavieu , Marie Delavieuide Vilar , Claude Barsotti , Ale and Souchon , Laurent Vulzi , Daniel Lavoie , Nino Ferrer , Sacha Distel , Claude Nougaro , Gilbert Becaud , Michel Berger , Michel Fügen , Michel Sardou , Patrick Bruel , Eddy Mitchell , Michel Polnarova , Guy Marchand , Johnny Halliday , Alain Chamfort , Thierry Azar , Julien Claire , Francis Lei , Riccardo Kochchante , Fred Bongusto , Julio Iglesias , Gilbert O'Sullivan , Engelbert Humperdinck , Richard Sanderson , Elton John , Frank Sinatra , Demis Russos and many other prominent twentieth century artists.

From the beginning of 2000, all programs and presenters disappeared from the radio station, and for several months non-stop music sounded on this wave. This period at the station was marked by the transformation of the format in the direction of the classical disco, which could not but find a response from sophisticated listeners. This happened due to the fact that at that time Konstantin Golubenkov, more recently known as DJ Tsepa, was appointed as the program director. And in November of that year, the company was bought by Ultra Production, which stopped broadcasting Nostalgie at midnight from November 6 to 7 . The last song on this radio was Julio Iglesias' Nostalgia. On November 7, at 15.00, the ULTRA Radio project was launched on its frequency [2] . After Ultra ceased broadcasting in 2004 , Russian radio producers planned to resume Nostalgie broadcasting at the same frequency, but their French counterparts refused this offer. In 2003, the creative team of Radio Retro entered into negotiations with French colleagues. It was decided that the radio station will broadcast at 88.3 FM. But, since October 26, 1995, Radio Retro has already been broadcasting on this wave, it was decided to combine the broadcasts of both radio stations, alternating Soviet / Russian music with foreign music. As a result of the combination of Radio Retro and Nostalgia broadcasts at 88.3 frequency, the Retro FM radio station began broadcasting in May 2003, and on November 8, 2004, Best FM radio was broadcast at 100.5 FM , the broadcast of which partially resembles Nostalgie.

After the Russian “Nostalgie” ceased to exist, some of its presenters switched to work on the Mayak radio station. One of the main “frankofon” of the radio station, translator and journalist Andrei Barshev worked at the “Mayak” until his death in October 2006 .

Nostalgia in other cities

Despite the cessation of Nostalgie broadcasting to Moscow ( November 6, 2000 ), Samara ( May 10, 2003 ), Krasnoyarsk ( December 31, 2006 ), Tolyatti (March 3, 2004 ), St. Petersburg ( August 1, 2001 ), Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk ( 2001 ), this radio station continues to broadcast today in several Russian cities, in particular in Makhachkala (broadcasting there began in 1996 ), and the air of the Makhachkala radio station is completely formed by the workers of the station itself. Recently, these local radio stations are mentioned mainly in connection with various controversial situations [3] [4] .

Also known about the broadcast of "Nostalgia" in some CIS countries , in particular in Ukraine [5] . In Kiev, the radio station has been broadcasting for 99 FM for many years. And also in Kazakhstan, in Alma-Ata at a frequency of 101.8 FM (from March 7, 2013) [6] .

At present, the Russian-French radio station is represented on Russian territory in the online format by the project “Radio Nostalgie Rostov-on-Don ”. The official website and live broadcast: https://www.nosta.info It is worth noting that the resource broadcasts the broadcast of the French Nostalgie, without adding its own content or advertising: only non-stop music.

The management of the Radio Nostalgie Rostov-on-Don channel is currently negotiating a radio frequency lease agreement in the FM band. Expected geographical coverage: Rostov-on-Don and nearby settlements, including Novocherkassk, Azov and Taganrog.
