Biography
Born in 1811 in a family of military inhabitants of the Kupyansky district of Kharkov province . Literacy studied at home school.
February 12, 1835 became a novice in the Glinsky desert , where he became friends with the novice Gregory . In the Glinsky desert, tonsured in a Riasophore.
In 1844, he went, together with treasurer hieromonk Arseny , novice Gregory and other brethren, to the revived Svyatogorsky desert . Here he was assigned a clerical obedience.
On June 30, 1844, he was tonsured a monk with the name Cyprian.
On August 16, 1844, he was ordained hierodeacon by Bishop Innocent in the village of Bogorodnicheskaya .
July 15, 1845 ordained to the rank of hieromonk .
October 5, 1846 appointed dean of the monastery.
For hard work on August 15, 1849 he was awarded a plait .
September 10, 1855 he was appointed brotherly confessor . His spiritual child was Ioannikiy (Averkiev) .
In memory of the Crimean War, he was awarded a pectoral cross on the Vladimir tape.
April 25, 1862 awarded the golden pectoral cross .
June 25 [ July 8 ], 1874 passed away. Buried near the underground church of St. Anthony and Theodosius of Kiev Pechersk.
Canonization
On May 8, 2008, by the Decree of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church [1], a decision was made on the local canonization of the ascetic in the Donetsk diocese , in the Cathedral of Svyatogorsk Saints (memorial day - September 11 (24) ).
The title of glorification of the ascetic took place during a visit to Svyatogorsk Lavra on July 12, 2008, by the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine, Vladimir [2] , in the Holy Assumption Cathedral of the Lavra.
