Born in a family of doctors. On the part of his father, the writer-doctor David Shraer-Petrov and the literary critic Omri Ronen have a second cousin. [2] In 1952 he graduated with honors from the Vinnitsa Medical Institute ( USSR ). At the end of the institute, he worked for 7 years as a practical surgeon . In 1958 he defended his thesis, and in 1965 - his doctoral dissertation. Since 1959, he has been working at the Kemerovo State Medical Academy as an assistant, assistant professor and head (1965) of the Department of General and (1968) of faculty surgery. Wide surgeon

  • Esophagus surgery.

An original operative access was created for cancer of the cardia and lower esophagus and an esophagoplasty with intrathoracic constrictions, penetrating injuries of the thoracic esophagus, combined cicatricial narrowing of the esophagus and stomach were studied on the basis of the world's largest experience in treating them.

  • Vascular Surgery

Original methods have been developed for the surgical treatment of hypertension by porting the adrenal blood flow.

  • A fundamentally new direction has been developed for the study of liposomes and the possibility of their use in surgery.
  • In case of prolonged compression syndrome, an original technique has been developed for the treatment of patients with severe copression.
  • In adrenal gland surgery, an original operative access and a fundamentally new adrenalectomy technique have been developed.
  • Original surgical methods for treating diabetes mellitus have been developed and applied for the first time in the world - deportation of pancreatic blood flow and kidney transplantation in severe nephrotic syndrome.

Over 350 publications have been published, including 5 monographs, 11 copyright certificates and 3 patents.
