Biography
Ilan Eshkeri was born in London. During his childhood, he learned to play the violin and guitar, and later he went to play a rock band. Eshkeri attended Leeds University where he studied music and English literature. During this time, he also worked with such cinema composers as Edward Schermur , Michael Kamen, and music producer Steve McLaughlin [2] [3] .

Awards
For the film " Star Dust ", the International Association of Film Music Critics called Eshkeri the Best New Composer of 2007 [5] . It is noteworthy that Eshkeri was one of the contenders for victory in a similar nomination two years ago, at a competition organized by the International Academy of Soundtracks, for the music for the film “ Layer Cake ” [6] .
