Kosiha is a village within the Shang rural settlement of the Sharya district of the Kostroma region of Russia.

Geography

Located on the highway Uren - Sharya - Nikolsk - Kotlas P157 , on the banks of the Vetluga River .

History

According to the Lists of the inhabited places of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village belonged to the 3rd camp of the Vetluzh district of the Kostroma province . There were 20 yards in it , 52 men and 56 women lived. ^[2]

According to the 1897 census , 155 people lived in the village (62 men and 93 women). ^[3]

According to the List of Populated Places of the Kostroma Province in 1907, the village belonged to the Shang-Gorodishchensky volost of the Vetluzh district of the Kostroma province. According to the volost government, in 1907 there were 30 peasant households and 230 inhabitants in the village. There was a forge in the village. The main occupation of the villagers was forestry. It was noted that the village was a estate Novo-Aleksandrovo. ^[3]
