Biography
Akhmed Magomedovich Magomedov was born in with. Batlaich of the Khunzakh region , June 28, 1930. Prior to the October Revolution, Ahmed’s father, Magomed Abdurakhmanov, studied with the Arabists, read and interpreted the Qur'an freely, and taught the Qur'an and the Arabic language to children. He graduated from teacher training courses in Buinaksk , and later the Buinaksk school. He worked as a teacher, director in schools of the Khunzakh , Botlikh , Untsukul regions. He was at the front, but was demobilized for health reasons. He died in 1950, at the age of 44 years. In the two years after the death of his father, at the age of 39, the mother of Ahmed, Umuzhat, also died. Ahmed was the only boy in the family. When Maazat died, he became an older brother to his sisters.
In 1947 he graduated from the Araninsky secondary school named after R. Gamzatova. He studied at "good" and "excellent." In the same year he entered the Faculty of History at Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov and graduated in 1953. After the death of the parents, the question arose about studying at the university, but decided to continue their studies, and the sisters got a job on the collective farm and continued their studies only in the evening, leaving them to the care of two native aunts and eight uncles.
In 1953 he completed his studies at Moscow State University and returned home. In the same year, he was appointed head of the history cabinet of the Dagestan Pedagogical Institute. In this position, he worked only a year and he realized that he wanted to become a scientist. In 1954, he again enters graduate school at Moscow State University and graduates in 1957. During his studies, he defends his thesis for the degree of candidate of historical sciences. His dissertation “The struggle of the Bolshevik Party for the further strengthening of the alliance of the working class and the peasantry during the years of the new revolutionary upsurge: 1910-1914”, which was an actual topic in those times, was highly appreciated by opponents.
In 1957, with a diploma of a scientist, candidate of historical sciences, he begins to work as an assistant to the chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of the DASSR , where he dealt with issues of culture, education, science and the social sphere of the administrative and economic region. A year later, he goes to work at Dagestan State University. V.I. Lenin as a senior teacher, and then becomes an assistant professor of the Department of History of the CPSU . He worked from February 1958 to March 1964.
In March 1964, he was appointed rector of the Dagestan State Pedagogical Institute and worked for 23 years until 1987.
“In 1964, Akhmed Magomedovich Magomedov was appointed rector of the Dagestan State Pedagogical Institute . Evil tongues then believed that a young scientist could not cope with this work. Then no one could even suggest that Akhmed Magomedovich would work in this position for 23 years and turn the Pedagogical Institute into the best educational institution in the entire North Caucasus. In this position, his organizational abilities were clearly manifested. He managed to improve the educational and material base of the institute, achieve serious results in strengthening the scientific and pedagogical staff, and improve the quality of training. As a result of his work in 1980, the Dagestan Pedagogical Institute was recognized as the winner of the All-Union Socialist Competition and was awarded the challenge red banner of the USSR Ministry of Education, ”

In September 1990, the Academic Council of the Dagestan State University nominated Akhmed Magomedovich as full members of the USSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences in the Department of General and Vocational Education.
On the night of January 1 to 2, 1991, he died at the age of 60.

For more than a quarter century, in which he was the rector of the Pedagogical Institute, tens of thousands of young professionals received a ticket to life. Thousands of people passed by the coffin set up on the day of the funeral in the assembly hall of the main building of the university. The public of the republic, comrades, colleagues, graduates and students came to share sorrow and grief with relatives and friends of A. M. Magomedov, to say goodbye to the body and take the last journey. A funeral meeting held at the cemetery was opened by MT. M. Abdulbasirov . On behalf of the Republican Committee of the Communist Party of the RSFSR, the Supreme Council and the Council of Ministers of the DASSR, he expressed deep condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, the entire scientific and pedagogical community of the republic, the staff of the university and pedagogical institute:
“As the organizers of the Dagestan science and training personnel are on their way to one of the leading scientists of the republic, we recognize that this is a great, irreparable loss. But life goes on according to its own laws, and our task, continuing the best traditions of those Dagestan scientists who are not with us today and whose bright representative was Ahmed Magomedovich Magomedov, is to work with even greater perseverance, to implement everything that was planned, about which dreamed and worked on what Professor Magomedov “.”

Scientific Contribution
Ahmed Magomedovich Magomedov is the author of more than 100 scientific papers and 4 monographs. He conducted research on issues of interethnic relations, education of student youth in various aspects and advanced training of teachers. These studies are relevant now. In the works of Akhmed Magomedovich, the significance of the international education of the Soviet peoples passes through the red thread.
Family
Ahmed Magomedovich married the daughter of Abdurakhman Daniyalov (former first secretary of the party’s Dagobkom) Zabidat. They met in Moscow while studying in 1954. They fell in love and married in 1956. In 1957 they returned to Dagestan already married. In the same year they had their firstborn, who was named in memory of Ahmed's father - Magomed. The second child in the Magomedov family was a daughter, named in memory of mother Ahmed-Umuzhat. The youngest son in the Magomedov family is Khadzhimurad, named after the legendary highlander and hero of the story of L. N. Tolstoy. All three graduated from school number 13, Magomed graduated with a gold medal, Khadzhimurad with a silver medal.
The daughter of Umuzhat presented the father of her grandson Ali and the granddaughter of Khadizhat. Magomed married the daughter of the famous poet Rasul Gamzatov Salihat, and the daughter of Amin was born. Magomed divorced and married a second time. He married the granddaughter of the oilman Magomed-Gerey Zulpukarov Aishat. Aishat gave birth to a daughter and a son. Unfortunately, Ahmed did not live to see the second wedding and the birth of his granddaughter and grandson. The daughter's name is Marziyat (1999), and the grandson was named after Grandfather Ahmed (2001).

Ahmed Magomedovich also had three sisters: Maazat, Patimat and Maimunat. Maazat died at an early age.
