Story
A miner named Jonathan Harvey (Paul Kelly), a collie owner named Shep, takes care of the family of his late partner Martha Blake (Anne Doran) and her son Tommy (Gary Gray). After several years of searching the hills of California (where the film was shot), he finally finds gold. However, before he can share it with Blake, his greedy partner Taylor Lin (Bruce Cowling) kills Jonathan and tries to claim gold. He poisons Shep, who almost dies, and almost kills Tommy, but ultimately Shep recovers and leads Lin to the mountains, where he falls from the cliff to death.
