Lloyd's Mirror

Lloyd's Mirror

Mirror Lloyd is an optical system for observing the interference of light waves . The mirror experiment was first described in 1834 by Lloyd in the Proceedings of the Royal Irish Academy of Sciences . In the experiment, light from a source of monochromatic radiation is reflected from the surface of the mirror at a small angle and interferes with light coming directly from the source. Thus, the sources of coherent waves are a real light source and its imaginary image [1] [2] [3] .
