Geography
It is located on the Uren - Sharya - Nikolsk - Kotlas P157 highway , on the banks of the Sysoevka River [2] , a tributary of the Vetluga River .
History
According to the Lists of the inhabited places of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village belonged to the 3rd camp of the Vetluzh district of the Kostroma province . There were 5 yards in it , 22 men and 20 women lived. [3]
According to the 1897 census , 56 people lived in the village (23 men and 33 women). [2]
According to the List of Populated Places of the Kostroma Province in 1907, the village belonged to the Shang-Gorodishchensky volost of the Vetluzh district of the Kostroma province. According to the volost government, in 1907 there were 10 peasant households and 69 inhabitants in the village. There was a windmill in the village. The main occupation of the villagers was forestry.
