Petrovka ( Kaz. Petrovka ) is a village in the Taiynshinsky district of the North Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan . It is part of the Chkalovsky rural district. It is located about 51 km southeast of the city of Taiynsha , the administrative center of the district, at an altitude of 167 meters above sea level [1] . The KATO code is 596073700 [2] .

History
The village was founded in 1936 [3] .
Population
In 1999, the population of the village was 1,547 people (748 men and 799 women) [4] . According to the 2009 census , 1,505 people lived in the village (735 men and 770 women) [4] .
