Biography
He was born in 1913 in the village of Cherepan of the Ohan district of the Perm province (now the Nytven district of the Perm Territory ).
He began his career at the timber industry enterprise . In 1934, he got a job in Perm distance road repair workers. In 1935 - 1938 he served in the railway forces .
Since 1941 - a worker on the railway, then the foreman of the track. The brigade of V. D. Kuznetsov served the responsible section of the Perm distance of the Sverdlovsk railway : the Kurya - Overyata stage . Vasily Kuznetsov has established himself as one of the best railway workers in the Urals . So, he was the first at the Perm distance to offer a two-week schedule in such a way that all repair work was carried out "in a ring." This improvement led to a marked increase in labor productivity and positively affected the quality of repair and maintenance work. For his work, V. D. Kuznetsov was repeatedly encouraged by the leadership of the distance, the management of the road and the Ministry of Railways , and was awarded a number of medals.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 1, 1959, Vasily Dmitrievich Kuznetsov was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle medal [1] for outstanding achievements in the development of railway transport.
He died in 1990 .
