Lithuanian Olympic Committee ( lit. Lietuvos tautinis olimpinis komitetas ) is a non-profit organization that represents Lithuanian athletes on the International Olympic Committee . It was founded in 1924 and officially recognized by the IOC in 1924 .

The headquarters of the committee is located in Vilnius on Olimpechu street.
History
The committee was created and recognized by the IOC in 1924. In the same year, the Lithuanian team already participated in the Games in Paris .
Before joining the USSR, the Lithuanian team participated in the Summer Games in Amsterdam and the Winter Games in St. Moritz in 1928 .
Due to financial difficulties, the country was unable to send its athletes to the 1932 Games in Los Angeles . And the Lithuanian team was not invited to the 1936 Olympics due to political conflicts with Nazi Germany , which hosted these Games.
The next Olympic Games , in which the Lithuanian team participated as an independent state, took place only in 1992 in Barcelona .
