In the 2012 presidential election, residents of the canton cast 30.2% of the vote in the 1st round of Marin Le Pen against 27.7% of Nicolas Sarkozy and 20.5% of Francois Hollande , in the 2nd round, Sarkozy won, receiving 59.3% of the vote (2007 1st round: Sarkozy - 34.6%, Jean-Marie Le Pen - 17.6%; 2nd round: Sarkozy - 63.4%). In the elections to the National Assembly in 2012 in the 2nd constituency of the Oise department, they supported the incumbent deputy, candidate for the Union for the Popular Movement, Jean-Francois Mansel , who received 35.4% of the vote in the 1st round and 41.3% of the vote - in the 2nd round.
